The Birmingham Floral Trail 2009 was formally launched last week by the Deputy Lord Mayor.
The entry will be judged for the Regional competition on Wednesday July 15 and for the National competition on August 5.

You can read the latest position on the city council website at the address in the earlier message: http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/floraltrail.

What’s more, the entry this year will be in the National competition. So it matters!!

The judged area will focus on the part of the city centre between St. Philip’s Cathedral and Broad Street. Furthermore, it will be assessed on how the different communities in this area express themselves. Particularly what they do to improve their present-day appearance and promote their heritage. The organisers are making an especial feature of the Matthew Boulton bicentenary celebrations; so there will be a strong linkage with the various exhibitions and events.

Plenty to look our for – and to contribute to.

    Keep watching!!
