The Birmingham International Food Fair is in full flight in the city centre. It is well worth a visit if you are a foody like me!…..This is the first one and to me it’s a great success. In Victoria Square, generally there are stalls to to provide for eating there and then (eg lunch). In New Street, generally there are stalls to provide food to take home .
There are stalls representing Germany, the Caribbean, France, Holland, Thailand, Asia as well as favourite English local produce.
There is a large bar serving German beer and wine specialties. With seating both in the open air and under a marquee the weather doesn’t matter. Today, with the sunny weather the atmosphere was just what we Brits do well in the sun….celebrate! So, give it a try….you’ll find something you like…pour moi c’etait les saucissons secs! (5 assorted types for £10 – a bargain and cheaper than dans La belle France!). It runs until Sunday 28 June.
