Birmingham’s Frankfurt Market and Craft Show got off to a good start yesterday when it was blessed with day long sunshine and clear blue skies. This brought out local people and visitors in their hundreds. From 12:30pm onwards the bars and snack stalls were extremely busy and the Christmas and Good Will atmosphere was created as if by magic. This event just can’t go wrong and grows in size year by year.
I wandered around, camera in hand, taking photos at three levels – general views shots, stall shots and detailed product shots which are presented below.
The whole event stretches from a fun fair at the west end of Centenary Square, with craft stalls along Centenary Square and in Chamberlain Square, then the Frankfurt Market occupies Victoria Square and the whole length of New Street ending at High Street by Bullring shopping Centre – a distance of about 1000 yards. This Slideshow follows the trail.
There are some revised and additional stalls in the Frankfurt Market, though the majority are the same as last year. The Slideshow gives a selection of craft and market stalls.
Detailed Product Shots – Is it me who has not looked closely enough in previous years or have the stalls added new and irresistable products this year? Judge for yourself from this Slideshow.
The event runs daily until 23 December from 10am to 9pm.
