The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, David Jamieson, has set out the 2015-16 budget for West Midlands Police. You can give your views on his proposals via an online consultation.
The PCC decides what share of local Council Tax should go to policing. This provides about 15% of its £550 million funding – central government supplies the rest. The proposals include an increase of 1.99% for the new year making a total charge of up to £106.55 per household depending on the band for the property.
You can find out the details of the proposals and complete the online consultation by visiting the West Midlands PCC website.
