At last the revamp of the prestige shopping centre has opened to the public.The centre originally opened in 2000 and then was closed for this £5m restructuring in July 2013. Then in July this year the new very much enlarged Harvey Nichols store opened and today the shopping malls opened – “The Walk” on the ground floor and “The Urban Room” on the first floor.
The Urban Room is a new concept which consists of a lounge with armchairs for lingering a while and relaxing while shopping. The Walk is similar to the original concept of a mall of shops with a pedestrian thoroughfare leading to the canal area with its restaurants and bars.
A lot of the shop units have not yet opened particularly in The Walk. But today The Urban Room was buzzing with people sampling the new atmosphere (and some champagne and live entertainment).

Thanks for posting these Geoff, great to see it finished at last, must pop through on route home tonight. The Urban Room looks great and nice to see public space within such a development as this.
