Ozzy duly arrived today, as promised in my earlier post, at the new Metro tram stop in Corporation Street at 11am and was greeted by a crowd of several hundred and loud cheers.
He is obviously very popular still as a personality. The crowd was so large I could not get a clear view of him unveiling his name plate on the tram.
However I was fortunate to be standing in Fore Street (runs between Corporation Street and Cannon Street) where he alighted from his car and so managed to get a couple of close-up photos.
New Timetable
The new tram service between Bull Street and Stephenson Street (alongside New Street Station’s northern entrances) will commence at 8am next Monday 30 May operating a service every 15 minutes until 11pm. Normal weeks offer trains of frequency between 6 and 15 minutes depending on the time of day. Click here to view the new timetable.
