Birmingham Cycle Revolution* is planning a cycleway from Selly Oak to Hurst Street in the city centre. This no half hearted relabelling of space. The design, in my humble opinion, is a stroke of genius!
This is what a cycleway should be so as to coexist safely with motorised traffic and pedestrians.
This surely will be a model for other cities to copy! Or at least to reset their design objectives and thinking.
You can find out all about the route including computer simulations by clicking here.
You can then give your views in an online survey conducted by Birmingham Be Heard.
