Broad Street Proposed Traffic Regulation Order and Consultation On It

Broad Street changes led by the new Metro Tram are nearing completion.

Buses and general traffic have been rerouted progressively during this construction process.

Now Traffic Regulation is required to support necessary restrictions to enable the changes to operate well.

Brian Hughes, Chair of the City Centre Neighbourhood Forum, has brought together the available Council documentation on this to provide for public consultation and this is presented below.

View here an Overview of the Traffic Regulation Order and a link to the public consultation.

Below are links to the proposed Traffic Regulation Order for Broad Street and also links to the main features proposed.

The Traffic Regulation Order.

Broad Street to become a RED Route.

Broad Street to become a No Overtaking Zone.

The Broad Street Bus Lane Plan.

The Traffic Flow Plan.

Well done, Brian & Geoff, to bring together this complex set of information. It’s much easier to appreciate than the original Council TRO documents!
