Metro Tram Track – Update on Progress Made in Last 3 Weeks

Time is short for completion of the new Metro track in October as stated in the Metro Alliance website. Work is continuing 24/7 so hopefully we shall soon have our superb tram facility back working again.

Construction continues…
The key Bull Street/Corporation Street junction:
— in the foreground the track continues from Snow Hill down Bull Street towards the new HS2 station
— in the background the track curves round to enter Corporation Street

Just to demonstrate how quickly the work can be carried out the Corporation Street bend into Stephenson Place and Stephenson Place itself have suddenly progressed to be further advanced than the Bull Street section.

See the progress below where tarmac has been laid surrounding the rails.
