Changes to Bus Routes on Broad Street, Sheepcote Street and Surrounding Routes Sunday 5 June

With very short notice to citizens there have at last been the changes to the bus routes that were redirected along Sheepcote Street instead of Broad Street in 2018.

Broad Street will now again be used for some routes.

The latest stakeholder update from the Midland Metro Alliance informs us that…

As of Sunday 5th June the majority of Buses diverted during the Tram construction will return to Broad Street.

To keep the ‘bus gate’ in Sheepcote Street operational, a small number of buses will continue to use Sheepcote Street,

12 / 12A, & 13 / 13A

The introduction of the ‘bus gate’ resulted in a 90% reduction in traffic along Sheepcote Street.

Editor Comment: and it will also prevent the re-establishment of a rat-run to the ring road .
It will also affect, greatly, traffic along Grosvenor Street West.

It’s good that we can still catch buses into and out of the city from Sheepcote Street.
